I ordered this harness after running a traditional styled harness for over 75 sits and never being able to get comfortable. I wanted something that was minimal but at the same time extremely safe. I stumbled across the Killdeer in a facebook group for mobile hunting. I ordered the harness right away and have now put in about twenty sits with it in a very short period of time. This past weekend a hunted a day that called for snow but we received freezing rain the entire time I was in the stand. My stand and seat froze and basically became an ice skating rink. At one point i went to stretch my left leg and when this happened I immediately slid off my seat and off the stand. The killdeer caught me right away and turned me back to the tree, putting me right in between my sticks and stand. I climbed back into my stand with no pain or discomfort anywhere. With now having tested the harness in a way that hopefully no one experiences, i can put my full vote behind this product. I have shown several people the harness at work and almost all of them plan on getting one.

First off, I really like the harness. I’ve haven’t had a chance to hunt it yet, but I’ve been wearing it essentially all day on workdays putting up stands, ladders and sticks, and I’ve been really pleased. It comfortable and non-intrusive, I was able to wear it with a concealed owb holster…no issues.
I’d strongly recommend this product, and I’d definitely do business with Dryad again – very pleased.

Just got mine in the mail today and using it for my first sit. All I can say is this thing is awesome! Definitely a must for a mobile hunter. The killdeer gives you freedom of movement that a typical harness does not. It’s also comfortable and has less fiddle factor when putting it on. Overall it’s a great product and I’m looking forward to many hunts with the killdeer!

I really like the harness and the company and would recommend them. I contacted customer service to ask about sizing and I was able to get the perfect size belt to use in mild weather and cold weather with bulkier clothes. I am glad I asked because I would have ordered the wrong size, I ordered what they recommended and it’s exactly what I wanted. I’ve used it a lot this past season and I like it a lot. I am very happy I didint try to buy a cheap harness, I feel like this is the first and last harness I’ll need to buy. Solid, streamlined and functional

I just purchased the Killdeer safety harness with premium leg straps and received it today. I do not leave reviews but really need to for this harness. This harness is really built well , the quality is top notch. I have been bowhunting for 30+ years and I have several treestand harnesses , rock climbing harnesses and also saddles. This will retire my other treestand harnesses and rock climbing harnesses. If I had to nit pick I wish the leg straps were permanently built in to the belay. Excellent job Dryad ! Can not wait to use it !
